We’re thrilled to share the first Mesh TAP preview of Mesh events integrated within Microsoft Teams, marking a significant advancement. This update introduces several highly anticipated features, including Mac support, enabling attendees to join Mesh events seamlessly from their Mac devices. Additionally, IT administrators can now streamline the setup process as there's no longer a need to deploy a separate Mesh native app for Windows.
Mesh events now operate directly within the Teams app, supporting both the Teams web client in Edge/Chrome and the Teams desktop client. This integration ensures that Mesh events run within a familiar and secure environment that employees are accustomed to. The Microsoft Mesh app is now conveniently accessible from the left rail of the Teams client, making it easier for users to browse and join Mesh events.

The Mesh application has recently reorganised its menu bar to enhance the management of attendee participation for event organisers. The Organiser tools button now includes streamlined options such as Mute all, enable/disable Hand-raise, Megaphone, Screen-share, and Broadcast for Multi-room events. These enhancements give event organisers more control over their sessions, ensuring that events run smoothly and efficiently.
The People panel has also been updated to display all participants in an event, making it easier to identify who has raised their hand. For Multi-room events, organisers can now seamlessly switch between the People tab and the Additional rooms tab, providing a clear and comprehensive overview of attendance and participation across various rooms within the event.
