The mōziware cimō is a shining example of the standards of modern XR today. This aR headset boasts high performance and portability in a durable and lightweight form, offering modern computing power and functionality that fits snugly in your pocket.
The strength of the cimō lies in its marriage of rugged, high-spec hardware and intuitive voice-controlled software. We recently did a deep-dive on the cimō's features and design, which you can read here. But today we thought we'd take a closer look at the "brains" behind the operation – Infinity OS.
The incredible versatility of the cimō is in large part down to its Infinity OS. They say necessity is the mother of all invention and the Infinity OS is no different. The operating system was developed by Realwear Intelligent Technology Co. to complement a variety of industrial applications and modern-day workplaces such as oil and gas, electric, transportation, manufacturing and healthcare.
What do all of these industries have in common? They're high-pressure and tactile. Yes, frontline workers in these industries need their hands at all times, but they also need to be able to communicate with the rest of their team. That's where the cimō's Infinity OS comes in.
The Infinity OS is tailor-made for these types of high-pressure environments, empowering workers to use all the functionality of the cimō with just their voice. Need to connect with a doctor to run over the details of a clinical report? Just say it. Need to view the schematics for a piece of industrial equipment? Just ask.
(In other words, you can think of the cimō and Infinity OS as your very own KITT.)
Specifications and user interface
When you load up your cimō, you'll be greeted with the Infinity UI. There, you'll see folders and applications just like you would on a desktop computer or a smartphone. Instead of tapping a keyboard or moving a mouse, though, you just need your voice.
The UI also supports a range of head movements, which can be used to operate the device, and a total of five buttons located around the chassis.
"What use is voice activation if I'm working in a noisy factory?", we hear you ask. Well, Infinity OS has you covered. With active noise cancellation and local speech recognition, your voice will always be heard. What's more, Infinity OS supports speech recognition in English, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, French and German.
The Infinity OS is compatible with a wide range of Android 10+ applications and offers extensive customisation for use in a variety of settings. The UI layout can be arranged and organised to suit every business.
At the user's end, preferences can be stored in a shared configuration space for management and support, allowing optimised configurations that are scalable for all industrial applications. Every voice command and setting can be optimised efficiently and intuitively across your organisation.
Backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.0 GHz eight-core 662 processor, users can seamlessly move between the UI and video calls while keeping their hands free. This opens up remote collaboration and creative solutions that maximise productivity and innovation.
Intuitive controls and features
Software developers will tell you that all the bells and whistles in the world are useless if they're not supported by intelligent operating systems – and they're right! The cimō is brilliantly partnered with Infinity OS to maximise its potential.
The cimō features two HDR cameras located on the fuselage and the boom arm. Users can share their first-person perspective, streaming crystal-clear videos to remote experts. All of this is available through voice commands.
With Infinity OS, the cimō's cameras are transformed into powerful instruments for use with IoT networks. Users can quickly scan barcodes and use intuitive image acquisition technology to build resilient digital workflows and improve data management.
With state-of-the-art electronic image stabilisation (EIS), your videos will be clear and undisturbed. You can rely on Infinity OS – as if it were your very own cameraman – to stabilise your video streams and produce clear images when you need them most.
List of pre-programmed voice commands
Infinity OS comes pre-programmed with a list of voice commands that allow you to navigate the cimō's user interface. They include:
Voice keyboard
Another key feature within the cimō's Infinity OS is the voice keyboard. This is the default way that users enter text into the cimō.
The voice keyboard is simple and intuitive to use. Whenever a text box appears on the cimō's display, the keyboard is automatically prompted.
